I found this belly/splash pan on eBay.... Seller represents it as off a 240Z, but if memory serves me well, it's off of a 280Z.... Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I have one waiting to go on my '72 240Z that does not have the hole for the radiator hose (and I think several other differences as well). From past threads I'm pretty sure its from a 280Z. I have one for my 240Z and one for a 280Z and there are quite a few differences -- most obvious is the big hole for the radiator drain (I believe). They are not supposed to be interchangeable between models. I've seen many claims on eBay that they fit all models, but that's not what was said in the old threads here.

That is a 280Z splash pan and it will not fit a 240Z. I have correctly labeled pictures of the S30 pans here.

Just curious, is this your auction? It looks like some of the same photos in the auction as you have in the link. But the auction says it is for a 240Z.Both have the same Lamborghini box. Gary D.

No its not my auction, I just grabbed the auction pictures and labeled them as the 280Z part they are and tossed them up on the site along with the other pictures I have.

It is the 280Z splash pan. Readily identified by the large hole allowing access to the radiator drain plug. The 240Z pan does not have this provision.

We talked about the differences a couple of years ago. The first one is up to 9/74 and the other is 10/74 up.

So considering how few cars still have these, has it been determined that all of them did in fact come with them?

I just bought a new splash pan to my 1971 240z at Nissan in Portugal, it is still available here!!!

I gave him the 240z part number and he told that it was changed to this part number 74810-N4200, that`s what I have at home.
