recommended plugs and dist. wires on my '75 280Z

Can someone tell me which spark plug and distributor wire I should use for my 1975 280Z.? I am planning on getting them from NAPA.

Also, which brand distributor cap should I use?

Any feedback will be appreciated. Thanks.

NGK plugs/wire.

As far as a dizzy cap, not really sure. I'm not sure it really matter's too much.

Go with standard NGK plugs-don't spring for the split ended or platinum plugs, S30s run best on standard NGK plugs (BPR 6ESII in my case).

The only differences I have ever found in a cap and rotor are old vs new-new runs better. NGK wires work very well, and not all others do. If you want the best wires, spring for Magnacore, but if your ignition is stock you will pretty much be paying for the bling factor.

If Napa doesn't have NGK standard plugs, go somewhere that does-they ARE that important.

Agreed. NGK plugs and wires here, too. Will, I think you meant BPR6ES-11, for the wide gap plugs for electronic ignition.

Definitely use the NGKs. Ran Bosch Platinums once, (once) and they sucked out loud. As to the wires, I'm running the Taylor Hi-Pros and have been very happy. Plus the added blue looks pretty under my hood!

Thanks fellas.. so NGK it is . I will go ahead and use BPR6ES-11 plugs and NGK Wires as well as caps if I find 'em. My car is pretty stock so Magnacore might be stretching it, although I hear they are good wires too if ignition is upgraded, I am assuming to electronic.

Hopefully I'm not too late replying, but on the cap and rotor - I'm personally big on using factory parts so I say go with a Nissan cap & rotor but thats me. Whatever brand you decide to go with just make damn sure that both the cap and rotor are the same brand. You can run the risk of creating incorrect air gap by using a rotor head thats a different brand than the dist. cap for example.
