Greetings,
My name is Kyle, I'm a relatively new member of the club and have appreciated all the knowledge gained so far... I live in Portland, OR. area and currently own a '75 280Z and an '85 300ZX. To makes thing even more interesting, I am flying to San Jose, Ca. on April 26th to pick up a "new to me" '71 240Z. While the current owner (of 23 yrs) of the car is confident the car can make the trip back north to Portland, I'm wondering if members that live along my intended return route might PM me with contact info just in case I have unexpected trouble. Yes I had the car checked out by an independent shop prior to purchase with good report card. The owner has provided volumes of paperwork of mechanical work done over the years and I will have a well stocked toolkit and spare parts too. Also have AAA card for backup....
I intend to take I-5 back to beautiful Oregon from San Jose with perhaps a detour to the Redwoods (if all is going well) back to I-5 ..to homebase. If anyone along that route will be around that Sat 26th & Sun 27th (expect to leave San Jose area by 2PM on Sat.)and could assist with a "trouble" call, I would sure appreciate some contact numbers "just in case" Please PM me with info and wish me luck! Should be a great trip! I will have a navigator with me to enjoy the scenery too...
Thanks,
Kyle
