Yes thats right folks I for once in the 15 months I've owned my 78 finally got to drive it. Too bad it was only out of my garage and not anywhere else. I was about to take it on the street when I decided that I didn't like how squishy the brake peddle was so I'm going to bleed the brakes again. And I still don't have headlights or turn signals but what the hay who cares . Atleast I now have a chance to drive it to somewhere who has a little better idea of the electrical than I do. Hurray!

Congrats. I guess its better to bleed the brakes again than to get it on the road and not be able to stop.

your so lucky, I haven't driven mine for the 11 months and 6 days that I have owned it, and still counting. its so depressing, and sad to own a z for over a year and not be able to drive it....I'm starting to think if I will ever drive it period??? Hmmmmmmm.

Zanthus , I know what that is like. My first drive was just to the end of the street and back , about 100 yds. She had been down almost 3 years. But just think how much better she will be when you have her done. I am looking forward to spring, if it ever gets here. Our Club has a Cruise planned for next Sat. the first of the year. So hang in there all it is worth the wait. Gary

Sorry, but I've got ALL of you beat. I last drove mine in August 1980, but that will change in about a week. Listen closely and you might hear me screaming BONZI!!!!, once again, as I did the first time I drove it.

I know you mean 'Bonsai' but when I see 'Bonzi', I can't help but think of the cartoon character monkey or whatever it is.

I had it spelled that way because it is a Z and needed a Z in its name. I had a vanity plate made for it in 1981 and will put it on the front as I have a 1973 tag for the rear. I don't remember that monkey but do remember "Magilla Gorilla."

Bonzi (rhymes with Fonzie) was an on screen software agent that helped search the internet. Kind of like a sidekick type thing like the little pop up 'paper clip with eyes' in Microsoft Office. I think he/it was actually called Bonzi Buddy.

Back to your original statement. You last drove your Z before I bought my truck. I bought the red truck below my signature 12/24/80.
