the only other place on the car that is showing a little rust is under the battery:mad:

It is going to be quite a project :rambo: I got the gas tank out and down to bare metal...

it will be back from the radiator shop tomorrow and i will get started coating it then painting it.

O.K. I'll say it since nobody wants to put old yeller down - this car is just about beyond saving from the rust monster - just enjoy your project , and be carefull how far you get into it dollar wise ! Yes I know , I'm a mean guy ...

If that car is past the point of return. Then mine is the walking dead. Stay focused. It will be a challenge to bring it back to life. But dont get frustrated and pace yourself.

well I have finished preping the fuel tank and have repainted it and reinstalled it (minus the evap tank). I cleared and cleaned all of the metal fuel lines leading to the front of the car and replaced all of the rubber lines as well. the car has new coolent, fresh oil, new oil filter, new fuel filter, new spark plugs and a new battery. I tried turning her over yesterday but got no response from her.my initial reaction was thinking I need to replace the starter right away but I am going to ask the board what other culprits there could be to look at first.
