My car won't be ready. Perhaps next year...

I know that feeling. My car was out of the show circuit for four show years. A lot had happened to the car during that period. But, now she's back! We'll be here waiting for you when yours is ready :)

By the way, anybody know whatever happened to the Surfside Classic Datsun Show? It was held at Doheney State Beach. Last one I recall was in 2000. I haven't been able to find any info, as it seems they just dissapeared.

I will be there, along with Frank 280ZX form Holland. He flies in tomorrow. Take him to the Long Beach Grand Prix on Friday for qualifying and T-Shirt Buying (last CART event?), buy him a car locally on Saturday, Pomona Swap Meet on Sunday...and then prep the cars for hte Auto-X and show the following weekend.

I doubt Greg will move the date. it was moved to the weekend it's at now because of the heat that comes any later in the year...that, and everybody has their TAX REFUND in hand when they come to the MSA event. Makes for big impulse sales on the show weekend.

(How many of you guys never had that last thought occur to you?)

FYI, EVERYBODY try and make it out to the FREE BBQ Hosted by GroupZ Friday night in the MSA Parking Lot. Bigger than last year, and freee freee freeee!

I will be around the Grille. Flippin, or eatin...one of the two!

See you all there!

Hmmm....maybe we'll make it out to that. I have always been a Group Z "groupie" all these years. I never registered for official membership. Shame on me.

The former president Jerry is a very nice man. He use to come into my old job to make copies of the "Z-Breeze" years ago.

You must mean Sacramento. If you drove straight to San Diego you'd be about 100 miles past where the show is. Marysville to Sacramento is about a 12.5-13 hr. drive and about another 6.5-7 hrs. or so from there to Anaheim all on the I-5.

That's what I meant, I knew it started with an "S". but I'm thinking 16 hours on the first day and only a couple more (4-5?) on the second day.

Dave.

Dave, I normally stop in Santa Nella on my way down to the LA area. That leaves maybe 4 hours for the remainder of the trip.

Ya, I need to go thru the map and mark the needed locations. Basically, we'll drive until she needs a pit-stop. Not real sure how far we'll make it on the first day but we usually take it easy and stop in Redding for the night, but I wanna push on and get as far as comfortably possible. Don't wanna wake up in a ditch or under a Semi.

Gary dropped of 2 260Z fenders and a hood for me on Sunday so take those off the list. He also got me L+R buckets so we're moving along. Still need to find the 3 lower valance peices though. Anyone?

Dave.

Haven't had time to get any fun in this year. So last night I signed up for the MSA. I'll trailer the Z down on Sunday morning. Hope to find a nice shade tree and enjoy the cars. Z-ya there.

That is what is real nice about the new location: Lots of shad trees.

Anyone interested in getting together over the weekend? I'm heading down there on business that week and will be staying in the area over the weekend !!

There's a kick off party on Friday and the dinner on Saturday. Of course, the show is on Sunday.

If you're going to the kick-off and dinner parties, it would be fun to sit together and chat a bit about the club and catch up.
