I was going to do some stuff on my 280zx, and i was wondering which size wheels would be the best. Right now i have 15x7 centerline wheels and i have alot of space between the tires and the wheel mold . I have Eibach Springs, so my car is only about 5-7 inches off the ground :nervous:. So if anybody has any good idias, please PM me, or cantact me at marabantes@aol.com.

I beleive it's 205/50 serires tires, yokohama. how big a tire can i go with? my main issue is functionality and looks.

I would suggest that you spend some time looking at the wheels/tire posts on this site along with the numerous photos that have been posted in the galleries.

Functionality vs. looks is somewhat of a paradox.

What looks good may not function that well.

Here's my point: suppose you come up with a wheel tire combo that nicely fills your fender wells, but exceeds the stock overall circumference/diameter.

That will look good but you will have speedometer error.

1010 Tires has a wheel/tire calculator so you can compare combinations and see the margin of error. They also tell you the max size tire for a rim too.

Good luck

Those tires are very short in height, the same height as the stock 13" tires for a 510. To fill the fender gap better with 15" wheels, you need taller tires. To get close to stock height for your car, you need something like 205/60-15. Another popular size in 15" for a Z is 225/50-15.
