April 27, 200816 yr comment_245456 I applaud the effort. I am not a big fan of matte black used for the entire car...but that is just a personal taste thing. It appears to me the doors contrast in color from the adjoining body panels. Did you paint the doors off the car? April 27, 200816 yr comment_245466 That is really a hard color / finish to get a good picture of. I'd try photographing it on an over-cast day with indirect sunlight. I think one would have to see it in person to decide on the effect.I wonder how you care for it - can that finish be protected with wax/polish without becoming too shinny?I'll bet you can't even see it in the dark... don't park behind anyone, or where anyone would back-up toward it....Looks like your doing a good job, keep at it...FWIW,Carl B. May 2, 200816 yr Author comment_245982 yeah I did paint the doors off of the car... that was my mistake, i should have painted with the doors on. It looks really good in person. There are some bubbles in the paint, and I will fix that in a year or so. I might tape everything up in a few months, and respray the car so everything and all of the panels matchI can go to a self was car wash, and wash the car, and spray on the uv protectant to protect my car.And YES the car FINALLY runs correctly, I wiggled the temperaterue sender, because the car was running really rich, and as soon as i did that, no more smoke out of the tail pipe, and the car isn't drowning in gas anymore YAY Now its time for insurance, and plates.I'm glad some people like the car thanks for the comments, and keep them coming. I believe that one of the suggestions in one of your other threads was to check the temp sensor. Bad contact there and the fuel mixture would be rich because the engine thinks it cold. You really need to clean the contacts on that connector and on the temp sensor or even replace the connector if it's cracked/damaged etc. (and most of them are if they haven't been replaced). If you don't, that problem will return.
