260z ei into 240z

hello i was wondering whether or not u could adapt a 260z electronic dizzy to a 240z wiring harness. I have the 260z dizzy and ei module, just tried the petronix system and burnt it up so thats 80 bucks down the drain. If not does any one have a 280zx dizzy, and how much do they run
