Posted May 4, 200816 yr comment_246162 Hello I need a diagram of a 73 240 coil and dizzy hook up. I just tried to put the petronix electronic ignition on and when i tried to start it i fried it. so i'm back to single points am not 100 percent sure if i hooked it up right. the car runs and drives but i'm just not sure. timing mark jumps from 13 to 10 every once in a while, and takes about 2 minutes of cranking to start when cold outside, which in turn makes my battery go dead. also does the voltage regulator have to have anything inbetween it and the inner engine bay like plastic or rubber. is anybody in the roseburg oregon area work on z's. I know we have some parts dealers but nobody seems willing to help. thanks rob Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27978-73-240z-coil-diagram-needed/ Share on other sites
May 4, 200816 yr comment_246181 Here you go. If you want colours, well, that will be extra:cheeky: The VR may have a rubber pad behind it for vibration isolation but by the same token it should be earthed/grounded somewhere too. I think that is achieved through the wiring to the alternator. May 4, 200816 yr comment_246192 You also should check the freedom of movement of your centrifugal advance weights. That can cause a timing fluctuation if they're sticking a bit.Frank Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/27978-73-240z-coil-diagram-needed/#findComment-246192 Share on other sites
