Blower Motor Relay

I have a 1983 280zx (non-turbo) and the blower motor Relay (mounted under the passenger side dash) quit working right as the summer is starting. It is encased in a metal braket with four prongs in a rectangular pattern. I have tried various car part stores and websites, and they only have the under the hood relays. It has JIDECO and JAPAN molded into the white plastic and the following numbers stamped on the metal bracket:

C - 2977

MR3S -1101

Does anyone know where I can get the part? I appreciate any help and many thanks in advanced. It is getting hot here in Southern California.

I've got some relays like that but they're for an 810 so the mounting bracket is different. I'll tell you what, you can try it and if it works, pop it out of the case and put it in the case from your old one. I've done this with ZX relays on my 78 280Z.

Thanks for the response, I'll try looking up the relays for the 810 when I get out of work. I think I have found a locally owned auto parts store that hires employees that know about cars, rather than the empoyees at autozone and kragens that didn't even know what a relay was.

find a parts store with a Bosch relay book and you can probably find what you are looking for. four pin relay not a real complicated device. two wires for 12v to activate and the other pair are contacts that energize whatever it wants to energize. there should be (maybe) a diagram on the relay case showing which pins do what and whether the contact pins are normally open or normally closed.
