Posted May 22, 200816 yr comment_248358 eBay just changed the way feedbacks are given. A seller still can get negative or neutral, but it looks like a buyer can only be left with a positive. So as a seller I went looking for creative feedbacks that can and have been left. Some of these are priceless.NEUTRAL: Excellent communication, but seller didn't poke holes in box before shipping kitten.NEGATIVE: Despite indication in listing, I could not fit item into any of my body cavities.NEGATIVE: Honda R-Type sticker did not add more horsepower as advertised.NEGATIVE: Item arrived broken and does not work. I still believe in Jesus Christ though.NEGATIVE: Should have mentioned that only accepted pyment method is in Bhats through Eastern Union MoneygramNEGATIVE: Darned dog won't hunt! Thought "stuffed dog" meant you fed it and it was full!NEUTRAL: Very nice, but monkey costume is size 34, not the size 63 as listed.NEGATIVE: Lederhosen is not as pink as it looks in the picture. NEGATIVE: Everything I could hope for but Postman made me sign for it at the post office. Such Hassel!NEGATIVE: though u did nothing wrong, let this negative feedback teach you that the universe is arbitrary & unfair.NEGATIVE: Buying this 1999 Space lunchbox failed to fill the empty void in my life like I hoped it would.NEGATIVE: Bought this item for my cousin with cancer. Item never arrived and now my cousin is dead!NEGATIVE: Item arrived in a Ford Pinto which quickly blew up with my item inside it!NEUTRAL: Buyer paid so quick that I peed my pants. Now I have to get new trousers.NEGATIVE: Ordered item last year. Never recv'd & long since gave up hope. Arrived in mail today.NEGATIVE: Item never recv'd. No response from seller. I'm out $! Other than that, great transaction.NEGATIVE: I ordered white chocolate/received brown chocolate! I am severly allergic 2 brown chocolate!NEGATIVE: Ordered makeup & revd quickly. But my brother says I am still ugly. Product obviously does not work!NEGATIVE: no warranty on car! damaged with use! seller will not refund my money.. BEWARE!Reply from Seller: You drove the car into a brick wall... UM, hellllllooooo!NEGATIVE: How long does shipping have 2 take? Ordered last week & paid for express delivery! Still not recvd.Reply from Seller: Hmmm.... shipping will take FOREVER because you paid the wrong person! May 22, 200816 yr Author comment_248422 I spent the last hour looking for good replies to feedbacks that the new eBay feedback policy is going to cause. I found this seller that has it all together.I don't know if I would be afraid to buy from this guy or buy from him to see what he would leave me. http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tryork5ifp&ftab=FeedbackLeftForOthersHis replys to feedbacks left for him are great!!!http://feedback.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewFeedback2&userid=tryork5ifp&ftab=FeedbackAsBuyerHe got a negative on page 5 that he replies to.__________________ Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28198-creative-ebay-feedbacks/#findComment-248422 Share on other sites
May 23, 200816 yr comment_248427 Those are funny but on the serious side I've always thought it kind of devious to wait for the buyer to leave feedback before leaving feedback as a seller. I figure they are waiting to see if they get bad feedback to retaliate.IMO there are two parts to an Ebay transaction, the payment and delivery. As a buyer, if I win an auction and send you payment via Paypal an hour after the auction closes, my side of the transaction (payment) is fulfilled and seeing as I paid very promptly, I should get a positive feedback in short order. When I get the package and everything is ok, then I give you a positive and for the record I've never given a negative on Ebay.If I get the item and it's not up to par and say we can't reach an agreement then I would be forced to give a neutral or negative feedback. That shouldn't change the positive feedback I received for prompt payment and the seller should leave me my feedback without waiting on mine. I don't leave feedback to sellers who don't leave me one and I think most are just waiting for a positive first so I guess I like the new policy. For the record I also have 100% positive feedbacks.Just my 2 cents, I'm sure some will disagree. May 23, 200816 yr comment_248430 I completely agree with Joel. That's how it's "supposed" to work. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28198-creative-ebay-feedbacks/#findComment-248430 Share on other sites
May 23, 200816 yr Author comment_248431 I completely agree with Joel. That's how it's "supposed" to work. You both are spot on, I always leave feedback for all buyers at the time they pay. I also in that feedback leave the date it will be shipped. If and when they leave a feedback the seller can respond to that feedback. I find only about 1/3 of the buyers will leave a feedback. May 23, 200816 yr comment_248475 I agree with Joel as well. My thoughts are that all the sellers whining over the new feedback system are the very ones that have caused the system to be changed by using the threat of retalitory feedback to ensure their own feedback does not get damaged. Granted, I have not sold anything on eBay, only bought lots of stuff. From my perspective, the only thing a buyer can really do wrong is not pay, and eBay has covered as the seller can report a non-paying bidder, and eBay will remove any feedback that person has left for the seller. May 23, 200816 yr comment_248481 My problem with leaving feedback to the buyer upon is payment is not the quality of my item or fear of bad feedback. Many buyers simply don't provide feedback. Since the feedback rating has been a useful tool, until now, it served both parties to provide same. The problem I have now is knowing who to block from my auctions so I don't have to deal with tire kickers or chronic complainers. My items are now sent USPS signature required to ensure the item arrival can be validated. There have been several occasions where someone claimed I never posted an item. With this new feedback policy I'll just post positive and state my true opinion in the commentary as space allows. I think it sucks.
