Posted May 23, 200816 yr comment_248523 I definitely want the Sportmax 002 but can't decide on 15s or 16s. I've seen many pics of 15x8 with 225/50 series tires on them and they looks good, but haven't seen too many 16s and don't know what tire size i'd run on that. Here's a pic i found and i actually really like how it looks and fits in the wheel well. Can anybody tell me the exact wheels size and tire size of this pic? Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28215-sportmax-002-should-i-go-16s-or-15s/ Share on other sites
May 24, 200816 yr comment_248628 Maybe this is a help. I've included 2 photos of my wheels for reference. Mine are BFG g-Force 205/60/15's on 7.5" wide rims. Other reference data: - Front Tires : My car is 1" lower than Stock, I have ~1" clearance between Fender & Tire at Top-Dead-Center (TDC). - Rear Tires : my car is 1/2" lower than Stock, You can see a slighly larger clearance gap at TDC. From your photo the Rims are at least 16" and potentially 17". The width of the rims look at least 7.5" or possibly 8" wide. Anyway , maybe you can take my photo and lay it next to yours resizing it so the fenders for both cars look equal. Then you could measure and try to scale them to come up with a closer estimate. Good luck, Mark Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28215-sportmax-002-should-i-go-16s-or-15s/#findComment-248628 Share on other sites
May 24, 200816 yr comment_248668 I looked at the Sportmax for a long time and finally moved to the Konig's as I was told the 16's only came 16x8 with 0 offset. Once my car i lowered, I'm told the 8 inch wheel will rub. Here's a couple of pics with the Konigs on..15x7, zero offset and 205/50/15 Kumho's...Once the car is lowered, it will look even better. Good luck Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28215-sportmax-002-should-i-go-16s-or-15s/#findComment-248668 Share on other sites

May 26, 200816 yr Author comment_248878 thanks for all your input.Moritz and Joker, your cars look great and seeing your rides will help me out, but i'm still pretty head strong on the sportmax 002.Clindayag, thanks for the info. I plan on using tokico struts and eibach springs that i will cut down even further to get the perfect wheel tuck. I also have means to shave out any inner parts of my fender to get the wheel to fit.Does anybody have any more specifics about this wheel fitment? Thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28215-sportmax-002-should-i-go-16s-or-15s/#findComment-248878 Share on other sites
