Looks great - and a reasonable price too! Those mini-lites look fantastic, I would swap my slotted mags for those in a minute, but funds prevent that

My car is a weekender too, has some dings and some very minor rust. $1,400.00 for a decent paint job and fix of dings, etc. is, as Arne says, a bargain! Only issue is that each Maaco, being independent, is different, so I'd expect differing levels of quality.

I thought of going Weasel's route of the High School shop class or Vocation school, but I am too lazy to flesh that out. I better get Maaco!!!

Goose, you are going to love Crossville. You will be about 1 hour away from the Maaco, they are the only one in Knoxville. There are are several club members in Crossville, and the local meetings are here in Knoxvile. Here's a link if your interested.

Your car looks great! You are making me want to try to keep #331 and restore it back to its original green/tan. Did you get one of the Maaco advertised paint packages like Supreme or Signature? Was your price part of the grand opening special? There is a new Macco in the south Seattle area, but it looks like they only advertise a special on a lower level paint job (the Presidential).

Hey Mike,

Maaco must do the same deals at all their stores, the only "special" was for the lower end paint job. Mine was broken down to include the base/clear...which is the most expensive one they do, and then extra for the sanding, hole repair, and misc dings.

I would only use Maaco for the base/clear....I think you'll have trouble with the lower end paint.

PS.....Arne, the car looks GREAT!! I must have missed the post in body and paint....

With me, I'm moving here in September, and I have an Uncle who owns his own auto-body/repair shop to where I'm moving to in Ohio, and he does really good work. And he drag races as a hobby.
