2ManyZs Posted August 30, 2002 Share #13 Posted August 30, 2002 Thanks Rob, just had to do that didn't ya??:tapemouth I think that might be just a little too much. Been considering a one of the early 200sx motors though, a lot easier to find here in the US.
Rob Posted August 30, 2002 Share #14 Posted August 30, 2002 Isn't the early 200sx motor an FJ20?
2ManyZs Posted August 30, 2002 Share #15 Posted August 30, 2002 Not sure if it is or not, I meant the early 240sx motor, I think they called it the KA24? Doesn't matter, don't have a Roadster....yet.....:stupid:
owenk Posted August 30, 2002 Share #16 Posted August 30, 2002 SO THAT IS WHERE MY SCREW DRIVER WENT !!!! And all this time I was blaming it on my kids! heres another shot from the hatch....
zorro Posted August 30, 2002 Share #17 Posted August 30, 2002 The problem with the 6" speaker is the depth of them and the magnet. I put 5" splits in my front doors and my knees still hit the speaker grilles. I did have however 6" Apline 3 ways in my 2+2 to the left and right or the passengers in the back seats, just behind the front doors. They worked well there but that won't help you either. The hatch is the only other alternative...........

kmack Posted August 30, 2002 Share #19 Posted August 30, 2002 I have seen them placed under the dash in the kick panel area in front of the doors.Cructhfield sells a kick panel mount that will accept a 6" speaker (I believe) and mounts into the Z nicely. I've seen this on a car at the Convention and it sounded pretty good. The speakers actually mount at an angle so they end being projected more into the interior compartment instead of just at the trans, tunnel.Might be something to think about since you don't want to make holes in your doors.(My doors already have the holes there, so I might as well use them.)
