August 31, 200222 yr comment_14489 I would love to help, or partner in the developement, research, or coordination of a club for us "inlanders". If anyone is up for the task of assisting and establishing a council, I should be considered at your aid. There is so much going on out here, and we have no representation that I can find.Email: tshauk@excite.comClues,Tips,pointers,direction,send help A.S.A.P.TS Hauk Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2857-any-interest-in-a-inland-northwest-forumclub/#findComment-14489 Share on other sites
August 31, 200222 yr Author comment_14494 TS,Here is what I propose. First of all lets check with Mike on setting up a forum for us. On thisForum we can post events that are coming up, bigones are even a few guys in your area that want to go for a run. The lower profile the Club isthe more fun you have. You will find that interests very for person to person. I wouldsay at first build it under the 240z.org Forums section. It allows us to get the wordout.I hate the idea of Presidents and officers ifwe are just looking to have a great time. One thing that this allows us to do is poolour parts resources together. Right now I havea Z guy from Walla Walla checking on some partsfrom one of his parts cars for me. The best partis that We would be closer for large body panelswaps and such. There are two large Z only Dismantlers in our area. One is located in the Salt Lake area and theguy has around 200 Z's the other is in Southern Idaho and has over 150 cars.I will start us off by letting you know I will be autocrossing on Sunday Septmeber 15th in Spokane. Then again the second weekend of October at Spokane Raceway Park on the Road Course . Thatevent is a two day autocross. We usually have around 5 to 10 Z's at our autocross events. If you have something like that in your area and you want somebody to join you then post it. Don't forget we can Private Message folks on here. Thanks,Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2857-any-interest-in-a-inland-northwest-forumclub/#findComment-14494 Share on other sites

September 2, 200222 yr comment_14583 Post the location of the sept. 15th autox when you get a chance. Or, email me @ tshauk@excite.com.Since my Z is now stripped to the unibody, I probably wont make it in that car. Be driven my Truck or the grocery getter.Anyway, I'll do my best to bump into you there. TSOh yeah, I agree on the "officer" type administration of a club. by council I was meaning having 2 or 3 standard contact people that would be sure fire wyas to find out if anything was happening. Makes for a larger participation when you know who to call.Just a thought, with only a few members it wouldn't matter, but I'll be a minimum of 3 years on both my projects, so I would like to see it grow into a serious "party" club. September 2, 200222 yr Author comment_14585 Brian,I really need to get the darn thing painted, but have been holding off until I get someof the mechanical stuff done first.Actually I know a few folks in Oregon thateither race or get together for fun runs. IHave driven over for the Blue Lake Datsunshow before. Plus when and if I make it tothe big Shasta Datsun Meet I will probablypass through Oregon.Oregon also has a few well know hillclimbs.Hopefully I will have my car sorted enoughfor the Larison Hillclimb next year or if the Pendleton event makes it back on theschedule next year maybe that one. There isa hillclimb in Maryhill, WA in October justacross from the Dalles. I might also make itover for the Road Race Enduro in October. 8hours of road racing into the night. I will just be a spectator at that one.TS .... I am about 10 hours north of you ,so it would be a long haul for a one day event.Eastern Idaho has an autocross club and has eventsdown your way and also so does some of the clubs in Utah. Also some great hillclimb and other stuffgoing on down your way. Let me know if you need any contact info. . I know a few Datsun racers down your way also.Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/2857-any-interest-in-a-inland-northwest-forumclub/#findComment-14585 Share on other sites
