Big changes for 1964. Replacing the English inspired design of the 310/311/312 series was an all new shape by the Italian designer Pininfarina. New too was the unitary construction of the body, rather than the seperate chassis of the previous model. It continued to use the same 1189cc 60hp OHV 4cyl. E-1 engine as the P312. This model has a grille with 4 groups of 3 horizontal bars and 6 vertical bars. The grille has a large round emblem with a gold 'D' in the middle. Tail lights have a large round stop light. Available in 2 door sedan, 4 door sedan (P410) and 5 door wagon (WP410).

In September 1964 there was a change in the design of the grille, the new grille has 13 horizontal bars and 9 vertical bars, the middle horizontal bar and the 3rd and 7th veretical bars are slightly larger than the rest. The large round emblem has been replaced with a rectangular shaped emblem. It now has rubber blocks on the bumper over riders.

I was wondering if anybody new any information on the p410. I have one sitting in our back yard with gold bluebird badges with the original column shift etc.:classic:

so I wouldnt believe that Pininfarina had any involvment, unless someone can provide any real evidence to support that.

It's certainly not mentioned on Nissan Heritage collection website in any of the P411 articles.

Interesting fact. The P411 was also made (assembled?) in Nissans Mexico factory.

Mr. Matsuo tells us that indeed the 411 design was done by Pininfarina - - he (Matsuo) was given the responsibility of making it more appealing to the youth market in Japan, after he was critical of Pininfarina's design.. thus the Matsuo SSS Model... and thus his promotion to the head of sports car styling studio...

BTW - Pininfarina also did design work for Prince as well

Worth? Not alot. $500 to $2500 for a really nice one in Aus. About AU$5000 for the good ones in Japan.

You'd be fixing it for the uniqueness of the car, if you wanted to get around in something different, or to just keep it from being crushed.

I know a guy here in Perth that was looking to buy one if it for sale, and if it's in good condition.
