July 1, 200816 yr comment_252496 Personally, I think you should have smoothed out the roof-line bump in the rear, like the other z convertibles. Looks a little 911 Porsche like with the bump there. Though I guess the other 'verts dont have working fold up roofs like yours does. Maybe you needed the extra room. Is it electric? Also I'd cut the roof to follow the curve of the window at the top there. But I guess you cut the metal to match the roof instead of modifying the roof to match the contour of the roof. What car is the roof from? Looks Miata or S2000. Looks like a quality job. You must be in the trade otherwise you wouldn't have the advertising on the doors. What are the chrome bits on the hood? Car needs to be lower with more bling wheels. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28603-74-260-z-convertible/#findComment-252496 Share on other sites

July 1, 200816 yr comment_252543 Hi Daniel,The quality of the body work looks great. My initial thoughts were the same as posted earlier by Mr Camouflage. I think I'd have to see the trunk area in person to have a better feel for how it flows with the rest of the Z. From the pictures, it tends to overpower the rear fenderline. Keep us posted.Dennis Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28603-74-260-z-convertible/#findComment-252543 Share on other sites
July 6, 200816 yr comment_252785 Sorry but I can't really like it... The color is GREAT though It'd look much better with bigger wheels and an improved stance, but the ground effects just throw the whole look for me... they're too boxy at the back, make the car look too fat (not helped by the bulge at the deck, though it may be necessary for the top's operation)... The bit of roof still behind the windshield comes under a bit of scrutinity but might not be able to be helped due to the top's origins... I can't doubt it as a showcase of craftsmanship though and likely it will appeal to some, come back with finished pics to show off Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28603-74-260-z-convertible/#findComment-252785 Share on other sites
July 6, 200816 yr comment_252806 Looks like quality work, I really like the color. Unfortunately I am really not keen on the chrome bits on the hood, ruins the lines of the hood and makes the car look "cheap" or "pimped". Not sure on the buldge on the trunk/rear deck area, like others, I think it may look better to have it flatter like other Z convertibles that have been done - but without seeing it in person, or at least a direct side-on shot with the top up and down, hard to tell. July 6, 200816 yr comment_252821 I really like it Daniel ,my only comment would be to find a set of larger wheels thinner tires to balance out the wheel wells, other than that it works for me.
