Posted July 8, 200816 yr comment_253081 Hi Z-experts-I am a new owner and new to the forums. I hope this is the correct place to post this. I just purchased a 1982 280ZXT 5-speed. It is in pretty decent shape with 85k. Does anyone have a good mechanic, body shop and leather repair suggestions. I have found Z Expert (Venice), Sunrise Z (Glendale), Pierre Z (Hawthorne) and Precision Z (Canoga park). Thanks!Larry G Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28687-finding-la-mechanic/ Share on other sites

July 9, 200816 yr comment_253139 Might also try Vincent Foreign Car Service in Covina. A number of ZCCIV members use them and like their work. August 31, 200816 yr comment_258779 Give Mike's Z shop a try in Whittier. For body work and rust-repair there's also Beta Motorsports in La Habra. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28687-finding-la-mechanic/#findComment-258779 Share on other sites

September 2, 200816 yr comment_258966 I don't need anything done. He had talked about closing the shop a couple of years ago and I was just curious to see if he did. September 5, 200816 yr comment_259395 Stephen. I want by Elvan's shop today and it is indeed closed. The phone number is disconnected as well. However, there are still plenty of Z cars inside and the yard is a bit tidier. I spoke to the neighbor. He said that Elvan has some personal matters to attend to but would be reopening in December.I trust him with my car and hope that he does reopen. September 5, 200816 yr comment_259429 Thanks, Randy. I haven't been down that way for a while. Next time I visit my stepmom or son who both live in Pomona, one in NW Pomona and one in NE Pomona, I'll drive by Elvan's and see if he's home.
