July 10, 200816 yr comment_253225 The shoulder belt connects to the lap belt on the side opposite the seat belt latch. You'll find a curious rivet that isn't mashed down all the way. If seen from the side you'll note that it has had the shank shaved off, such that it is thinner. Put the shoulder belt over that rivet, pretty much aligned with the seat belt buckle, with the rivet in the center of the "keyhole" on the latch, then rotate it 90°.Hope that makes sense. There's another post with the same subject matter that may have a slightly better description.HTHE Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28692-ahh-seat-belts-dont-connect/#findComment-253225 Share on other sites
July 10, 200816 yr comment_253230 This may be the other thread that E was referring to:http://www.classiczcars.com/forums/showthread.php?t=27845The part that may be confusing is the fact that the "keyhole" is normally hidden by the webbing where it attaches to the "tongue" part of the latch. July 10, 200816 yr comment_253231 I think these would be the belts you are talking about? The long straps in the center have that "curious rivet" on the end and the belts over on the right show the buckle with the notch that the rivet goes into. Yea? I could sell this set, BTW. Early push-button type. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28692-ahh-seat-belts-dont-connect/#findComment-253231 Share on other sites
July 10, 200816 yr comment_253233 Actually Chris, wouldn't 26 and 27 have used the latch type, i.e. the Aircraft Buckle type of seat belt?FWIWE Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28692-ahh-seat-belts-dont-connect/#findComment-253233 Share on other sites
