Posted July 11, 200816 yr comment_253397 I was looking at a 70's setup and this appears to be very similar. It's a 73 built in September 72 - so they should be flattops, shouldn't they? July 11, 200816 yr comment_253403 Can't tell from the pictures which manifolds it has, but the fuel rail is the shorter one that came on the '73-74s with flat tops. So I agree with Stephen's assessment, it is a flattop car that has been converted to roundtops. July 11, 200816 yr comment_253405 I'm just going by memory, but some of the hoses look misplaced - such as the AB valve connection to the air cleaner. Also, are those dampers the type that came on flat top carbs? July 12, 200816 yr Author comment_253426 Thanks guys - I knew it wasn't a stock setup. Needed to confirm. Is there a way to tell if these are the early or later type roundtops from these pictures? July 13, 200816 yr comment_253477 They look like 3 screw units, which I suppose could be called "later".Count the number of screws that hold the domed part to the body. The early cars had 4 screws, the later had 3.
