July 15, 200816 yr comment_253648 G'Day Guy,When I bought my Zed, the glovebox was full of info about the PO so I contacted them asking for any info they could give me about the car.Turns out I'm only the second owner. I received a very nice letter from them, supplying more details about the car, and they were happy to hear that "their" car was being refreshed, (that's all it needed)' and well cared for. When "Precious" was finally painted it's original colour, I sent a photo to the PO and received a very nice letter in return. So, on my experience, I'd say yes, go ahead and contact the PO. He/she might be as pleased as my car's PO was.Rick.:devious::devious: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28730-finding-the-history-on-my-240z/#findComment-253648 Share on other sites
July 15, 200816 yr comment_253656 The PO of my racer was the third owner, but had remembered a lot the second owner had said when he bought it. Gave me a lot of info about the wiring, and some a long recollection that sounded like a script from an unreleased Smokey and the Bandit movie. Do it. ITS WORTH IT!! July 15, 200816 yr comment_253678 Your not likely to get much info from Nissan, so the P.O. would be your best bet. I know some of the history on mine from the man I bought it from and it looks like I'm about the third or fourth owner. As far as finding out where it was sold new, or if it had stayed in Arizona its whole life, that would require me to do alot more digging. Just speculating, but the DMV might have records of it being registered in the past.
