Posted July 29, 200816 yr comment_254779 Hi there,This is my first post :-) I have to admit, I don't have a Zcar yet but plan to get one. I am just not sure where a trustworthy dealer can be found. I think many things can go wrong with a wrong dealer (and me being not yet very knowledgable about Zcars :-( I am from Switzerland. Some of my friends from the car club have a website where car enthusiasts show their cars. I just saw some excellent Zcars there. I wish I owned one of these. I particularly like the 1971 Datsun 240Z. What do you have to be careful about when purchasing such a car (if it is available :-) ? Are there any pitfalls? Thanks for your help!RegardsThomas Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28857-showcase/ Share on other sites

July 29, 200816 yr comment_254820 welcome thomas. do some research and look on eBay. you can get a general idea of the prices for Z's and see how far your money can go. if you decide to buy one, try to buy from an enthusiast, or club member in your own area. if there aren't any around in Switzerland..you may have to travel a bit. good luck.pitfalls: rust, and every other thing associated with a 37 yr old car....good thing is that, in general, they're pretty easy to work on.. July 29, 200816 yr comment_254841 Hi Thomas:What price range are you considering? That will tell us a lot about potential pitfalls to discuss. If you are thinking of a $5K USD project car - that's one thing. If you are thinking of a very nice driver for $15K to $18K that's another.Do you have any idea what customs regulations and/or shipping charges would be involved?FWIWCarl B.
