But any long-time owner can probably recite this for you.LOL Once you're inside and still keyless, here's what you'll have to do (assuming you own an S30 model).

1. Unscrew the steering column cover (four #2 Phillips screws on the underside)

2. Drill out the two "security bolts" from the ignition collar and use a screw extractor to remove them

3. Unscrew the remaining two Phillips screws from the ignition column

4. Remove ignition assembly from the steering column

5. Unscrew the electrical switch from the back of the key lock mechanism

6. Use a stubby flat-blade screwdriver to turn electrical switch and get car started

With this technique, you can drive your car forever, if you choose to. Just remember to take the electrical switch with you whenever you park the car. Of course, you won't be able to lock the car, but that's a small price to pay for having wheels.

I have to ask how wise it is to tell somebody you don't know how to hotwire a Z. Especially somebody who can't spell or use proper grammar.

Playing devils advocate, you may have just told somebody how to steal a Z.

Thats a hell of a slow hotwiring process. LOL Besides, you wouldn't trust "the Sexiest girl on this site". I think I'm gonna change my avatar to the "the Sexiest Italian/Portugese man on this site", or maybe "the most well-endowed man on this site". Either would be more humble than al_itzah2luv's avatar. ROFL

Usually the code for the key is on the glovebox door. But if you can't even get in, you have a bigger problem, and why don't you have a spare set of keys???

Did you call a Nissan dealer to see if they can make you a key?

its a 75 280z

I don´t have spare keys because

the owner did not have any and I had just bought the car

I was not planning on loosing my keys anytime soon.

So no I cannot even get into my car...

the only other person I know of has a 77 z and I do not have any means of contacting him since I do not have his number.

And I´m sorry my grammar is not perfect when I´m in a hurry and nervous.

But I´ll have you know, I am in AP English, I believe I have sufficient knowledge to know how to spell.

It´s called txt msg, its the lngge of the ftre, u shuld lrn it.

All that I am doing is asking for help, if you cannot supply it, then don´t waste your time posting on my thread.

Riiiiiiiight. I will remember that. :stupid:

So, its not that you do not know how to spell, your just lazy. Contrary to what you believe, the teenagers of today wont make any more of a splash on society than the teenagers of yesterday. Eventually you all outgrow your overgrown sense of self worth. Its part of growing up.

Okay, enough bashing, but sorry, text lingo irritates me. So do cocky kids. Man I am starting to sound like my dad... DRAT, I need to go buy something I do not need and cannot afford.

Zedyone:

I figure anyone who really wants to steal an S30 already knows how to do it.:cheeky: If there are Web sites where I can go and buy info that allows identity theft, there're probably a slew of them devoted to "how to steal a 'model X' car."

As for getting in the Z, that should be realtively easy too with the windows up. Because I took my doors apart last weekend, I kind of remember the "monkey motion" for the door locking mechanism and a coat hanger should do the trick.

Khrystina, if you can wait until tomorrow, I can practice tonight on a "spare" door I have and send you a PM.

Gods help us if thats "the lngge of the ftr". I'm only 39, not exactly ancient, but I work with some 25 yr. olds who can't spell at all, and txt lngge is why. IMO

But I do hope you do get your car moved Khrystina. I think Seppi72 spelled it out pretty well. As far as getting in, if the coat hanger trick won't work, breaking a window will.
