Posted August 8, 200816 yr comment_255693 Well. I was suspecting my that my sending unit was tired.. full gas tank, could see the gas in the filler neck, gauge was reading slightly above 1/2..Took the new unit in, damn it.. still not going to full, even if I see the gas in the filler.. The needle in the gauge is still reading 3/4 of a tank...Is it the dashboard gauge who might be faulty???:pirate: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/28953-sending-unit/ Share on other sites

August 11, 200816 yr comment_256169 Just for information for others reading this thread in the future . If you disconnect the wire form the sender and ground it , it will cause the gage to peg on the full . Then you will know the gage is working or not. The sending unit can be checked with a multi meter. I don't remember the values for the full to empty readings off hand.guy_geo I am glad you solved your problem.
