gogriz91 Posted August 10, 2008 Share #1 Posted August 10, 2008 Couldn't believe this when I saw it at the bookstore. A few I've seen before, the obligatory Rocky Auto car and an impressive write-up on Hans Ruth's Z-racecar. Might be available at Kinokuniya for you West Coast dwellers. Chino 240Z Posted August 11, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 11, 2008 Keep an eye open for a 71 240, Road race, school-bus yellow, #44 article.... they came by the house and did a front yard photo shoot before the photographers went back to Japan after the MSA car show here in California. Perhaps in the fall? Like to find a where to purchase the magazine.

Chino 240Z Posted August 12, 2008 Share #4 Posted August 12, 2008 Reaaaally, Hey that sounds great! They promised to send a copy but nothing yet. I'd pay you for your trouble if you found one. Japan magazines can be made quite nice compared to thin papered US magazines. Thanks for the heads up we have lots of fun with this Z, and a nice magazine write-up would make a good memory to keep. So are you over in Japan now? Honto ni, Domo Arigatogozimashita yo! Thank you very much, Craig
geezer Posted August 12, 2008 Share #5 Posted August 12, 2008 Congrats! That's pretty cool! Later on, if you can, post some pics. You are right; the quality of the paper & print in the magazines I have from Japan is second to none. Sounds like they did you proud.
Chino 240Z Posted August 12, 2008 Share #6 Posted August 12, 2008 See what we can do if we can find the magazine and scan some pictures. inqui-Z-tor Posted August 17, 2008 Share #10 Posted August 17, 2008 Man I've got to visit this forum more often.I was told, at the MJS 2008 event this past May, that my car was in a Japanese magazine. The guy that told me, couldn't remember the name of the magazine. I've been searching since.By any chance was it in this magazine. I have no idea what size pic .. it might have just a luck shot (ie .. in the background). I've got a blue z31 with VDI doors.http://www.verticaldoors.com/_product_pics/11nissan_1984_-_1988_300zx_z31products1113image_3.jpg

Ron Carter Posted August 17, 2008 Share #12 Posted August 17, 2008 Craig, congratulations!! Your car is worthy of some press! and lightning magazine really has done well by the southern california Datsun enthusiasts.I understand that the magazines are selling really well in Japan too. Thus we see them coming back often to continue to maintain sales.Hope to see many of you at the JCCS show in October!R
