August 12, 200816 yr comment_256364 Popular? They're cheap and plentiful since they were a standard ZX rim. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29022-whats-with-the-8-spoke-wheels/#findComment-256364 Share on other sites
August 12, 200816 yr comment_256367 Because they look so damn good! Others may have some input regarding original Watanabes, Panasports or Mini Lites... but my take is purely from a cosmetic/asthetic point of view. August 13, 200816 yr comment_256373 You know, I completely missed what rim he was referring to. I was talking about the 6 spoke ZX wheel.:stupid: Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29022-whats-with-the-8-spoke-wheels/#findComment-256373 Share on other sites
August 13, 200816 yr comment_256377 I think the 6 spoke alloys don't look the part on a Z car, despite having come as optional on them... and ZX wheels just look awful on the earlier car. I like the 8 spoke minilites, a classic look, third after slot mags, which are second after Daisy hubcaps Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29022-whats-with-the-8-spoke-wheels/#findComment-256377 Share on other sites
August 13, 200816 yr comment_256378 As you can see, I'm partial to the factory alloys myself. Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29022-whats-with-the-8-spoke-wheels/#findComment-256378 Share on other sites

August 13, 200816 yr comment_256418 Those "8 spokes" are sweet...Panasport Watanabe's right? I'd love to get a set, but i'm just not willing to drop $800+ bucks on rims anytime soon. August 13, 200816 yr comment_256440 Panasport and Watanabe are two different manufacturers. Although Panasports look like Watanabes, there are differences. Two pictures attached - the Watanabe A spoke and the Watanabe B spoke. Haha, no offense meant from me ever, I just put my opinions out there for the sake of forum discourse... and also to be a forum whipping boy, with the expectation that everyone else then tells me how ridiculous my car looks with polished, unpainted Daisy-style caps I do like making my opinions known, I'm afraid...
