Posted August 13, 200816 yr comment_256439 Okay, so i am new here, and i came straight to the forum for help. I am restoring a 280z and i have never seen another completed Z as long as i can remember. So i need to ask........ did the car have a 3 point seatbelt stock or was it just a lap belt system? i am hoping it was a lap belt so i can get this beast on the road. Many thanks Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29035-280z-resto-questions/ Share on other sites
August 13, 200816 yr comment_256443 Haha, it's interesting how Zs all of a sudden went from fairly common beaters to nearly extinct on the road period... Mine is a 75 so I assume that if mine has the 3 point belts (which it does) then all other 280s must... August 21, 200816 yr comment_257433 All Zs in the US came with three point belts, even the first 240Zs. (They weren't retractable until '73, though.) Three point belts were required by the DOT starting in 1968 or thereabouts.
