K- I can't imagine when the last time a Z car was brought into an auto shop class. Isn't it usually a Mustang or Scion, these days? :D

I remember when Camaros, Trans Ams and Mustangs were the only "respectable" cars for a teenager to work on at school. Of course the reality was that most of us owned everything else but.

Have you come up with a final list of work? I love watching projects progress, so keep us posted. Maybe even start up your own page at Car Domain to document it all. Watching others move forward reminds me to keep up with my own long list of work too.

...I don't think "these days" is usually an option when it comes to shop classes in High School, LOL.

I had a Camaro in HS, but it was a 98 V6. At least it was a stick :) It was also something like British Racing Green, don't ask.

Not a bad car for a high schooler at all actually (fairly new, chrome wheels, the "sweet" factory monsoon sound system etc.), but its pretense of being a performance car was a bit short... Floaty, did funny things when you stepped on the brakes depending on the situation, I could be flat out in it and there was none of that uncomfortable head snapping back LOL

I enjoyed being a stereotypical Camaro slimeball though :D But by that time, birth control had been initiated by GM; the back seat was far too small to neck in ROFL

The build quality wasn't so bad (if plasticky inside and out), it killed a clutch slave cylinder at one point but that's about all the trouble I had... I almost wish I had kept that car longer, it's probably good that I had that car at that point instead of a Z :P
