Mr Camouflage Posted September 5, 2002 Share #5 Posted September 5, 2002 Blue is the answer to your questionL24 blocks were a mid blue colour. not too light, not too dark.maybe a little darker that the blue used in this website (depending on your brightness settings of course).Don't know if it had a name of where to get it though. james240 Posted September 5, 2002 Share #6 Posted September 5, 2002 I read a post some time back, can't remember where, but "Old Ford Blue" is about as close you can get out of an autoparts store. I found some and it matches pretty close to the original color. In the post I read, the writer was showing his car, and a judge had asked how he got such a close color mix to the original factory color. Answer - "Old Ford Blue" Zappy Trails:D
Doehring Posted September 6, 2002 Share #7 Posted September 6, 2002 The mix is at www.zhome.com. Look at Z Technical Library, Index of technical Articles, Body, Correct engine paint mix.Take care to get colours that are heat proof.Rolf
Marty Rogan Posted September 6, 2002 Share #8 Posted September 6, 2002 The color is Datsun Blue. If you want to get an exact match, contact Les or Dennis at Clsic Datsun Motorsports: http://www.classicdatsun.com/This did some of the restored 240's for Nissan's Z Store Program. They sell it in rattle cans of heat resistant paint. It is isn't cheap if I recall, but this is as correct as it gets.Marty
