Glliw Posted August 31, 2008 Share #2 Posted August 31, 2008 Why don't you just ride shotgun with someone else? No sense in injuring the Z.

Z's are famous for their reliability so you shouldn't need to open the hood for a really long time. Believe it or not but the Z hood is one of the strongest hoods ever made and should be quite capable of handling any load you might put on it. As far as paint goes a good exterior latex house paint because the outside of your house is always outside so that paint is really good for outside stuff. Home Depot has lots of it and can mix any color you'd like.Or maybe not.Steve
the_cafe Posted September 1, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted September 1, 2008 (edited) my buddy said i wont need a brush bar after all because the bumper on the 280 zed is long enough to work as one Edited September 1, 2008 by the_cafe

zbane Posted September 2, 2008 Share #9 Posted September 2, 2008 Well, you could start with something like this, but why stop there? Maybe you should find yourself an old datsun 4x4 truck, yank out all the guts from it and throw them in/on your Z? Slap on some mud tires and off you go! Or better than that, just get yourself an old datsun 4x4 truck and use it...

280~Master Posted September 2, 2008 Share #12 Posted September 2, 2008 If it were me I would take the bumper off and bolt on a brush guard from a police car or even on from a ford ranger. Then go and get some paint from Wally world and paint the hell out of it. Make sure you get the special cold weather paint cause its fix-in to get real cold there in minnesota. You might want to look into a winch for the brush guard just in case you have to pull a big'n up a hill or something.
