That would have been the perfect car for me to start with. I would have offered less, just because it's not running, and took a chance that the diagnosis of "locked up" was an exageration, like it normally is. A lot of times the starter fails and doesn't turn the engine, and not too many people (unless they are very into cars) know about putting a rachet on the crank and turning the engine that way.

For my plans, since I plan on some body modifications, that would be a perfact starting point, I would have prefered an early Z like this one, especially one with the S1 type hatch/vents, but found a '73 I couldn't pass up. Running, body in similar condition to the one pictured in the thread, complete, even had some extra parts for the same price. Mine was auto though, and came with an L28 (didn't realize that until after I had received it from the shipping company)

The biggest factor to the decision of buying this one will be how solid it is underneath. It's far easier to repair body than it is chassis.

I didn't see any under hood stickers in the picture. The hood may have been replaced so the check the core support (where the radiator is attcahed) and the frame rails for damage and/or proper repair.

That car would be a good roller with a few G'S.DO NOT BE DISCOURAGED..Some of these guys are runnin clean cars.Good for them.Build it up and drive it.I personally would never turn away a z car that year in that condition.I have more fun with a car you don't worry abot hurting.My car was in rougher shape when purchased.Do some homework and do it yourself.You will save cash and the reward of doing it yourself makes it that much better.$15,000,00 is alot of money.You must be doing rbtt swaps or something.

In Colorado, that would be a fair price to start from. I have seen through a couple 240Z's (literally) for almost twice the price. It would be a good starter. Just beaware that you the cheaper the start the more you will have to invest. Good luck with whatever you decide.
