September 14, 200915 yr comment_294651 I didn't manage to get any pics... I was busy trying to figure out how to control a mountain of boost coming out of 4 tires! Here's a link to one of the photgraphers who snapped off a bunch of FP. You can even see a few of the one run my car made.http://gotcone.com/pgallery/2009_scca_tirerack_solo_nationals/fp/Tom Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29285-good-luck-to-the-z-racers-at-the-solo-nationals/?&page=6#findComment-294651 Share on other sites

September 14, 200915 yr comment_294695 West course, my fastest run. Would have put me in third place for the day right behind Toby for the day but I coned it. Awesome course!http://www.vimeo.com/6573605It looks like vimeo squeezed it to 4:3 but you can download the original file to see it in 16:9.-Rick Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29285-good-luck-to-the-z-racers-at-the-solo-nationals/?&page=6#findComment-294695 Share on other sites

September 25, 200915 yr comment_295741 John C, Now I know where Toby got his go fast advice from. You can stop giving it to him, he's fast enough!! Seriously he drove very well and he's a super nice guy to boot. I got a bit lucky this year so I am going to have to sharpen the ole skills to stay ahead of Toby and Mark and Tom and ...........Being fast at this level has more to do with the driver then the car. I can't help there because I'm a mid pack guy at best. I just take credit for helping Toby make a platform that stay's out of the driver's way and let's talent shine. I'm sure if you two traded cars the results would be the same - this year talent won.BTW... Did you have to get a bigger shelf to put all these trophies on? :-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29285-good-luck-to-the-z-racers-at-the-solo-nationals/?&page=6#findComment-295741 Share on other sites

November 2, 200915 yr comment_299221 I suggest you find another 50 lbs to remove. I'm pretty sure he was about 130# over, so that will be just right!Tom Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29285-good-luck-to-the-z-racers-at-the-solo-nationals/?&page=6#findComment-299221 Share on other sites
November 2, 200915 yr comment_299222 We're trying. Unfortunately there's a lot of extra sheet metal on these 3 series to make room for back seats. :-) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29285-good-luck-to-the-z-racers-at-the-solo-nationals/?&page=6#findComment-299222 Share on other sites
November 12, 200915 yr comment_300115 40 click rebound adjustable inverted Penske 8300s with custom sunken top mounts going into the back of Toby's 325. He's also working on some one-off front shocks that will retain full travel for a car a lowered as his. Toby also just dropped off the rear subframe for some additional work.If Toby can't out drive John T, he'll out engineer him... :-)BTW... the R75 Hoosiers are really fast. November 12, 200915 yr comment_300174 C'mon, John! Don't taunt him! If you tell JT the bar is getting raised he might go out and actually drive a several events prior to Nationals. Even worse, he may very well try and make HIS car faster and that's just bad news for everyone else.... but then again, I've been trying to sneak up on him for years. Maybe psychological warfare is the way to go!Tom(Permanantly 4th place) Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29285-good-luck-to-the-z-racers-at-the-solo-nationals/?&page=6#findComment-300174 Share on other sites
