Good Friday Everyone,

I have a '73 with the Hitachi bell tops. When I step down on the gas it takes a second or two to catch. It totally bogs down and then fires up. I'm sure the fix is in the carbs, right? Any quick fix? I'm admitedly a weekend tinkerer at best but I have broken down the carbs and float bowls and cleaned them up pretty good.

if by "bell tops" you mean round tops, order Ztherapys Carb video and ods are you will have the right tool.

Better still, swap out your crabs for a set done by Zthrepay...the seat of your pants won't recognize the car!

Thanks! Yes I mean the round tops as opposed to the flat tops. I got their video and the rebuild kit and put in new needles and cleaned everything up but it's been sitting a while so I may need to revisit.

Got the right grade of oil in the dashpots?
