Hey everyone,

Just thinking about something: Nissan U.S. has already stated that they are bringing the Skyline to the U.S. Not just a luxurious version known as the G35, but rather, an actual Skyline. My question is: "Why is nissan planning to bring the Skyline here? Won't it crush 350Z sales? Isn't the Skyline a superior car?" I don't know, but it would be weird. Although if both cars made it to production here in the U.S., I know one thing: I sure as hell won't be complaining!

Hey Ali,

Where did you get that information? I have been considering the import of a RHD Skyline ever since I got the chance to drive one in Melbourne. But, if we are going to get them in the US, I might wait until a LHD is available. Anyway, where can I look up more about this?

What's a 240ZX ??

Here in Australia, Skylines are common stuff :D they're absolutely insane especially the almighty GTR. Better than a 350Z? FOR SURE.

Of course, if you could have a car with teh looks of a 240Z and the power of a Skyline, that would be even better. Just ask Cuong. ;)

I worry that the Skyline bloodline will be altered in the 'watering down' of the line to create the current G35. Several Nissan sources say, "The G35 IS the new Skyline." It just seems to me no good can come of taking a mad, violent road warrior like the R33 and "Re-designing it from the ground-up" (READ: "re-packaging for an American market").

Well I know it seems unlikely , ,, but I have a son that works for Nissan America, and Just left a intro for the 350Z and both my son, and the rep at the showing said that their info was that the Skyline was indeed comming to the US.. I did however hear that the US version would be Two wheel drive.... How could they screw up so badly? Any way this is still pretty big news. I did not get anything about dates etc... But thats what I heard. Maybe the decision is not final? I don't know. Still pretty exciting. Nissan/Datsun could become a big factor again in US Fast cars.

But any improvement in what is offered is good.. Maybe they will offer the best to the US with the global financial crisis.... there may be a no holds barred competition... I just hope some of us have some money left to get one these if offered.
