oskidunker1 Posted September 17, 2008 Share #1 Posted September 17, 2008 Buy it now at $21,000. I would be interested in opinions on this car.
Arne Posted September 17, 2008 Share #2 Posted September 17, 2008 I think the one he's talking about is this one:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___1972-DATSUN-240Z-2-DR-COUPE-TROPHY-WINNER_W0QQitemZ380063093816QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item380063093816&_trkparms=39%3A1|65%3A1|240%3A1308&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245Not bad, but I'd rather buy this one inste4ad:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-Trucks___1971-DATSUN-240Z_W0QQitemZ280267272795QQddnZCarsQ20Q26Q20TrucksQQddiZ2282QQcmdZViewItem?hash=item280267272795&_trkparms=39%3A1|65%3A1|240%3A1318&_trksid=p4506.c0.m245
sblake01 Posted September 17, 2008 Share #3 Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) This one? A little too 'personalized' for my taste. Beyond that, I don't get into the 'Z Police' thing and point out all of the things that are 'wrong' with the car since I have no plans of buying it. I'm with you, Arne, on the gold car. xray Posted September 17, 2008 Share #4 Posted September 17, 2008 (edited) Both look like great cars, both well-priced with a 20% premium for "survivor" status on the 1971. Maybe some price deduction for the -uh- "unique" color that can be a detractor to some bidders. Not a fan of the spoke rims on the red one, but to each their own. John Coffey Posted September 17, 2008 Share #5 Posted September 17, 2008 On this car:http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Cars-...=p4506.c0.m245The wedge pin on the rear strut isn't tightened down properly. It looks the the suspension just got sprayed with chassis black paint from a rattle can - bushings, fasteners, and everything. Its not a $21K car by any stretch. Arne Posted September 17, 2008 Share #6 Posted September 17, 2008 Its not a $21K car by any stretch.Well, for here out West, no, probably not. But in Connecticut? Sure, you can buy a car like that out here for a lot less, but then you have to get it shipped, and how do you spend that much on a car without checking it over in person? As a clean, East Coast car with little or no rust, $21k probably isn't out of line. oskidunker1 Posted September 18, 2008 Author Share #7 Posted September 18, 2008 Not only do I not like the look but they are very unpractical. I would be hitting curbs and destroying it in a few weeks. Does anyone think that front spoiler really adds anything to the car?

Does anyone think that front spoiler really adds anything to the car?I believe so! At least on my 240 it has.......at speeds above, let's say 60mph!Tom
