Ok -- I maybe should have posted this to the tech area, and perhaps I am truly a moron...

I dont have a service manual nearby and I am tearing down the suspension off of my roller and for the life of me I cannot figure out how to take the lower control arms (I think that is what you call these?) off of the strut housings.. I am attaching a pic so please if you have done this please help -- the brain is not firing on all 6 on this one!

Those are the famous rear control arm spindle pins. Do a search for them here and you should find plenty of posts regarding these. They are the biggest cause of cursing and complaining on a Z car there is. :tapemouth

I sent you a PM earlier phi22b@ck. I haven't

tackeled this beast yet , but alot of info

is out there on how to get those pins out.

Don't forget to use the chatroom if you want

to pick some brains. A few of us are in there

regularly.

Good luck :)

I fought that :tapemouthing part for the better part of three days. Finally I just replaced the whole assembly with another.

And yes, the old one is still alongside the house.

It has been the only thing to beat me yet on a Z.

Except for figuring out my double read on my tach issue...
