There are different types and pedegree. There is a 70 Z from Franklin mint that sells for about $50 USD and at a glance looks like these, but a closer look reveals it is a superior unit. I have one and it has good reproduction details, like functioning suspension with control arms, complete exhaust system, antennae, spark plug wires and generally pretty good detail that is true to the real thing.

I don't know if any are actually worth $50, but I like the one I have.

I would like to see some better close up shots of these.

The ones I'm talking are just like these, same base, same colours etc, same cars.

I'd pay $50 for a Franklin Mint version, but these are swap meet items, not worth $50, that's what they charge though. :ermm:

I like the 1:24 scale diecast that my grandparents bought me in the spring, it's not an "Accuracy" reproduction, the wheels are a bit big, there's an SR20 DET under the hood, but the wheels are forward in the arches. ROFL

I have that Road Signature green car as well as the #26 BRE version. I paid $9.99 ea. for them a couple of years ago at Costco. I have a SunStar which is less detailed than those but the window frame is on the door. It's black which is all wrong but it was cheap too. My favourite one is my silver Kyosho. It cost 7 times as much as the RS but the detail is much better. I wouldn't pay $50 for the FM version because I only collect the 1/18 scale and the miniature 'Hot Wheels' size ones.

Paul , would you be interested in shipping one to me? I would pay for shipping and your time. Please call me 732-673-4749

Thanks

Hey Rick,

I bought the only 2 they had on the shelf. I would've bought more if they had them. So I guess no, I couldn't ship one to you, sorry.

These have full exhaust, working steering, and the hood, hatch and doors all open. Interior detail is very good as well. But the suspension is not active, no plug wires, etc. So they seem to be a step down from the Franklin mint ones, but still very cool, IMO. I'll check out some other Ocean State Job Lots in the area and see if I can grab a few more for anyone one here who wants to buy one.

I just would not pay that much for a 1/24. The Kyosho is just as detailed, if not more so, is 1/18 and cost $60-$70 new. Unfortunalely, from what I understand, they are NLA from the manufacturer as they've moved into the RC car market. You can still occasionally find them however.
