I am replacing the struts in my 240Z

I got some strut boots for a 280Z that I am lookinh to use on the

240. I also obtained some bump stops.

Is the idea of using the bump stop + the 280Z bump stop over-kill ?

Definately overkill. the black one will do the trick fine. If anything using both will cause a bump :) with regular shock travel.

Where did you get the strut boots?

No, not overkill, just bad. On a 240Z with it's lower ride height, doubling bump stops will eat all your suspension travel. Pick one or the other.

I installed bump stops all the way around. With the springs cut and the travel diminished some what , the soft stops still offer a great ride. I will bottom on them on speed bumps if I take them at some speed. However even on uneven roadway the ride is good. These are the only energy suspension parts left . I have been told that this is the brand Nissan is now selling for our cars.
