Any early-Z enthusiasts like the Z32 also?

I always wanted a 240Z, wound up with a 280Z, fell in love with the 300ZX Twin Turbo in 1990 when I read Motor Trend's article. I even won a $20 bet that the new Z would smoke the Ford Mustang, which was a big deal back then as I was just a kid.

But anyway, I posted a video on youtube hybridizing two old Nissan ads for the Z32 over some Filter music. My old title for the vid was talking about Barbie and Ken and I think I attracted some pre-teen girls who didn't think very fondly of my participation in the youtube community.

Anyway I thought some of you fellow Z-heads would appreciate it more. It combines a few ads; one where the Z-driver is dreaming about being chased, the other is the Toys commercial where GI Joe picks up Barbie at the mansion.

Hope some of you folks like it!

Driving a Z32 is a completely difference experience from the S30. Air conditioning, sound system, leather make the Z32 a great cruiser. The S30 is more "unrefined" and can be wrenched-on very easily. The Z32 is a far safer car, from the pretensioned seat belts to the crumple zone. (I am always conscious of this fact when I am riding with my kids or wife!)

There are so few of both the Z32 and S30 in the Dallas area that I am often asked about both. (I do not really like to draw attention, since most want to race (Z32) or touch the car (S30). Neither propect excites me.)

Both have their place in an enthusiast’s garage.

About 8 years ago, my then brother-in-law, James, purchased a 92 Z32 non-turbo. He lived in Houston, TX at the time and the car was out here. I was paid, by him, to drive it from West Covina, CA to Houston and given a plane ticket for the flight back home. I 'enjoyed the ride' more on the way there than the ride back.

Steve, was it burgundy? If so, that's my dads old TT Z32 he sold last year :) (Diseazd)

Just recently my dad had 2 Z32's (one TT)

and 3 S30's

Now he has the 3 S30's (70,71,72) and the 90 300 non turbo

I love the Z32's!! They handle great. Such a well balanced car IMO even thought it is a heavy SOB.

Sllicktops are indeed hard to come by, and are the preferred version for some due to the additional structural rigidity and lightness gained by not having two pieces of glass over your head.

When the 350 came out, a friend of mine here drove his 1990 Z32 to the dealership to compare the two side by side. After he had taken the 350 out for a test drive, the salesperson asked him if he'd like to trade in his "old" z for the new one. The answer was a resounding no. The Z32 had more usable hatch space and was much more comfortable to drive (at least for him).

Oddly enough, the salesperson agreed and said that that wasn't the first time he'd been told those exact two things by other Z32 owners.

(edit: Thanks Stephen!!, to much typing, not enough thinking)
