Why does it take so long to approve pictures? Geezer has some more pictures from the Z convention that look like they were uploaded on Thursday, but still haven't been approved (as of Saturday afternoon).

Is there any way to add more people as picture approvers so that they can be viewed faster? I would volunteer to be one, if I am worthy.

Unfortunately, my work blocks photobucket nowdays, so I can't see any photos that are hosted there, I just get the red "x". Others may be in the same position.

Note that the photobucket suggestion is not going to fix the image approval process. The approval process applies to the Gallery to ensure photos are categorized appropriately and you cannot post photobucket pics in the Gallery.

Photos that are uploaded in a thread, like this one, are not required to be approved, and are viewable immediately, so photobucket is not needed. Finally, while photobucket may indeed be around for a long time, there are a couple of disadvantages compated to uploading to this site. When you rearrange your photo gallery, links to old threads are broken. There is a limit to the number of times an image can be viewed in a certain timeframe (bandwidth) or it will start to show up as a red "x".

I have a photobucket account with over 1K photos on it that I use to post on other forums (that don't have a photo upload capability), to allow friends to view, etc. so I am certainly not trying to bash them.
