Finally in Ohio

Glad to hear that you've made the move and I can only imagine the hurt of having to leave your ride behind. But I know you've got your hands full with family matters and that comes first. Then comes the job search. I surely hope the economy doesn't "plant" itself but, even absent that, it's going to be quite a row to hoe.

Now that you're here, PM me so we can talk about things.

Good to hear you made it OK, me and leah wish you 3 the best. You can still chat with me here though. I finally got the 260Z in the garage and started tearing her down. The hood and fenders are at the scrap yard and the replacements are on the wall. Seems like most of the rust was on the panels, the metal under them was'nt too bad. I'll just use the SEM on some spots, prime it and move on.

Keep in touch,

Dave.

Hey Dave,

Thanks. I got a temp job, only 3 days, making $25 and hour for those 3 days, but it gets my foot in the door.

I've been looking at z cars in my area, and well, not too bad of condition for the prices, I might have one here in 6 months to a year.

Also, I seen your adapters and harnesses on MSA, congrats! I was excited to see them on there.

For your 260, I hope your taking pics of the progress, I'd love to see how its comming along.

How's your 240 running? Replaced the electric fuel pump yet?

Well, gotta run, I'll keep you and everyone updated of what's going on.

Justin

I just have the Stock fuel pump for now. Till I get serious about a new electric pump. The 240Z runs but needs the Triples tuned badly.

Keep an eye on my Gallery for updates on the 260Z. I started some tear down a week ago, the fenders and hood are in the metal bin at the local recyclers and the good ones (buttload of metal work) are on the wall.

The D.S. seat, center console, sound deadener and steering wheel are out but I have to minimize what I take out cause I don't have much room to store everything once it's off the car. Found a few holes in the floor that I was unaware of but nothing major that I can't fix. Started using the Phosphoric Acid on the rust and I'll finish with the Ryno-liner like we did on your Z. Lots of surface rust issues but just surface. The doglegs are shot and I need to redo them but everything else is loking better than I first expected.

Lots of plans for it, like.... Electric windows, shaved door handles and locks, shaved hatch, frenched antenna with hide-away door, slightly hidden push-button door handles (electric switch behind a false thumb print size panel) Linear actuators on the hood and hatch, hood and hatch poppers, H4's, LED stuff, Full suspension everything, and too much more to add and still keep this a decent size post.

Keep in touch and watch for updates.

Dave.
