On the SCCA "quotes" section of the results page Greg had some interesting things to say about the race, mainly pointing to tire selection & track aggregate differences when compared to the SE as the culprit. Still, nice job!

Also, Goughary won the GT2 race in his tube frame 350Z bodied car! I beleive that's now 3 for him in GT2. Race photos from the same gentleman:

Thanks everyone. Well, I am disappointed and we had a great car. We simply made a bad tire call. It's the first time in my many years that a tire just wouldn't warm up. Super slippery the whole time and lucky not to lose the final podium slot. We will go to Road America next year. The old Z ought to be pretty good there too! Podiums at the National Championships are always good. Check out the champagne shot I got off on Prather!

Absolutely!! Road America is big time fun!! I usually get there twice a year. My Avatar is me coming out of turn 5 there.

Let us know when the dates are and I will try to be there. It would be good to meet up with you guys.

Is it just me or did it seem like there was a ridiculously long delay between the race and the broadcast last year on Speed? Maybe I caught the re-runs and not the actual race...
