BRE-240Z Posted October 10, 2008 Share #13 Posted October 10, 2008 P.S.Here's some pictures of a 280 ZZZAP arcade game I ran across in my research:http://img394.imageshack.us/img394/1390/280zzzapnk4.pnghttp://img385.imageshack.us/img385/2881/280zzzap6qw8.pngI can remember playing this game in the arcades. But more interestingly, if you google the term 'ROM emulator' and specifically look for a MAME emulator, you can find the ROM for this game and play it in emulation. It's out there and freely available.
ZDemon Posted October 20, 2008 Author Share #14 Posted October 20, 2008 Well, I finally got back to the shop and stared working on it.The car has indeed been repainted. It's a very similar color and they did a pretty good job, so i hadnt noticed at first.Looks like I wont ever know, unless I'm able to find the previous owners. It does seem strange to me that the car sold used in 1979 for $7,700. This was Datsun's ad back in the day and may help to explain that.http://www.ttzd.com/movies/archive/280_15.html
Gracey Posted November 22, 2010 Share #16 Posted November 22, 2010 Was an Option..I purchased my Code 411 1978 280z out of the show room at the Dealer. Came with the Hatch Louver, 2dr, 5 speed manual - The Zzapp (stripping) was an option. Gracey
sblake01 Posted November 22, 2010 Share #17 Posted November 22, 2010 That is pretty much what the thread you revived from two years ago says. And I'm sure you mean 1977 not 1978 if you're talking about a ZZZap.
FastWoman Posted November 22, 2010 Share #18 Posted November 22, 2010 (edited) Since the thread is revived ... I recently stumbled across a business that is selling the ZZZap decal set. It's a bit pricey, but it looks like they did a good job. I wish I could provide a link, but honestly I can't remember where I saw it. esprist Posted November 22, 2010 Share #21 Posted November 22, 2010 Motorsport AutoI am the supplier for the decal set, and there are only 4 sets left.A couple of people bought 2 sets for their back up.I do not know if I am going to reproduce them any more since it costs so much to make them in a lot, and it also takes a lot of TLC to store them. We never roll them or fold them even for shipping, beacuse Ultra thin UV protective clear film might get wrincked if you do.:classic::classic:
