I have taken my interior door panel off because the drivers side window came off the track and would not go back up. After getting it back on track, I found the bamper in the bottom of the door. I looked in the factory shop manual and that is what this roller is called. The problem is that it says to install the bamper, then install the chrome trim on the outside of the door. There is no location to attach this bamper to. There is no clean spot, so it has been off for quite a while. I have searched the archives and have not found any related threads. Has anyone had to deal with this issue? If so, where does this little rubber roller attach? Thank you for your time.

LOL The reason you couldn't find it in a search is because I don't think anyone else has ever called it by its real name!

Try this thread I found by searching for 'window roller'.

I installed two on each side when I redid my Z. She is a vary late '73 8/'73 . If you are replacing the door weather stripping , the doors are harder to close. I think it is a good thing to have the extra support for the glass.
