October 17, 200816 yr comment_263620 Second that on ZTherapy. Great guys to deal with and their stuff is high-quality. I bought their rebuild kit recently and while kind of pricey, I think it was well worth the money. October 17, 200816 yr comment_263623 Hey guys, a little background on our kit vs ???. The ZTherapy kit is all inclusive of everything that'll solve all issues EXCEPT worn throttle shafts. The parts house kits do not contain nearly all the pieces our's does. The $180 price sounds high but after backing that nozzle core charge out, it's right where it should be.... The increase in the nozzle core charge to $50 was done to insure we get the old nozzles back. At the previous $30 core charge level, it apparently wasn't worthwhile for customers to send them back. We re-brass the plastic heads (which are NLA) and don't forget we can install different than stock nozzle orifices for specific applications, i.e. high altitude. October 17, 200816 yr Author comment_263637 Bruce,I'm used to British SU terminology. Is the nozzle the same as the jet? And, does the jet slide up and down, for choke, in the jet bearing? My Hitachi jet on one carb was absolutely glued to the jet bearing. In my efforts to free the jet-which I ruined-I think I might have messed up the jet bearing. How would that effect my core value. I plan on buying your rebuild and sending you my cores. I have a '70 Z with 4 screw tops.Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29686-carb-rebuilders/#findComment-263637 Share on other sites
October 17, 200816 yr comment_263639 Mike,Jet tube = fuel nozzle.... It's the language barrier.....As long as the plastic head is okay, that's all we care about for the core.A far as what you might have done to the outer tube, that's a different story. You may need another body if the brass outer tube is mangled or boogered up so that a new nozzle may bind. One step forward and two steps.... the other way. October 18, 200816 yr Author comment_263649 The body is fine. I worked on driving the jet out of the jet bearing after it was out of the body. I pulled on the jet and it came out of the plastic part. It looks like a press in fit, with 2 tiny 0-rings. Anyway, the plastic part is not damaged. As far as the jet bearing, only the collar has a little nick. Its your call, of course.Mike Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29686-carb-rebuilders/#findComment-263649 Share on other sites
October 18, 200816 yr comment_263650 So you should be fine for the core on the nozzles and we can supply the nozzle outer if you want to start with one that hasn't been stressed. I forgot that yours (4 screw) was a screw in. Email me at sales@Ztherapy.com if you want to take this off list.
