It has most likely been shipped to S.America by now, or driven back to Mexico. Unlikely to be resold here in the States, nor to have been used for parts.

One theft ring was busted that operated in Central Florida - they were shipping about 200 cars per month to S. America. Several countries there require no title for cars...

Well, the good news is that my car was found---The bad news is, it was found in a Haines City citrus grove as a burned out shell.

Have Haggerty insurance. Was covered for what it cost me to build, but not for what it would cost for someone to rebuild for me.

That will most likely be the last car I build. No point in having something nice for some low life to distroy.

Very Sad to hear the bad news. Thats terrible, and theres nothing that can bring her back but you did some very nice work and should be very proud of it. I really hope this experience doesnt convince you that you dont deserve something as nice as your car was. It has nothing to do with you, and all to do with some lowlife that wanted to part you and your car, and take something THEY dont deserve.

Kind of make you wish someone in S.America or Mexico was still enjoying it. Sorry to hear of the result.

Good reminder for me to call Hagerty.

I had a 72 Mustang Convt. that was stolen, chopped and destroyed. I got a zip lock bag with some parts in it and the VIN. I know th pain of loosing one, but eventually got back to building a few years later. Hang in there.

Serious bummer man. I feel your pain. May the perpetrator be arse raped by a 400lb gorilla with a bad case of penile warts.

I can feel the pain the blue one I had she was my baby, and she was in a hit and run and ended up lousing her not getting to part her out to build a new car it takes away from the fun when someone irresponsibility destroys something you care for.

I did after 1.5 years later after a year of looking get a new z and I love it but it was not the same as my first. I wish I could have parted out my first car, it been nice to use the parts to rebuild a Z. It would have been like my car wasn't taken from me.

By the way this is exactly why while restoring my car I'm adding a GSP trackers. These SOB out their make it hard on all of us.
