Inside Line and Nissan celebrate the all-new 370Z with a private coming-out party five days before its L.A. auto show world premiere. Bring a new or old Z if you have one, and come see and touch the new version with fellow enthusiasts.

When: Saturday, November 15, 2008

4:00-8:00 P.M. PST

Where: TBWA/Chiat Day

5353 Grosvenor Boulevard

Los Angeles, CA 90066

Cost: Admission is free and Edmunds’ Inside Line will provide food and giveaways.

Details: Edmunds’ Inside Line and Nissan are proud to announce a special roll-out of the all-new 2009 Nissan 370Z. This will be the first unveiling of the 370Z anywhere in the world. There will be three fully functioning 370Zs at the event, including two production vehicles and one test mule. And yes, you'll be able to sit in the car and poke around under the hood. Bring your new or old Z to display at the event, and spend the evening with other Z owners and enthusiasts.

LOL. While any one of those four might catastrophically happen a few times in a given decade, I feel more secure here than being subject to the near annual certainty of hurricane :D

(Or for that matter, I feel more secure with enduring any of the above rather than enduring snow, as applies to other geographical locales ROFL)

Though I occasionally get Phoenix envy, nice town that has everthing, but a bit too isolated from everywhere else...

In any case, I'm not a huge fan of the 370's design as compared to the 350 (which I thought was gorgeous), but it's growing on me and I might just show up for whatever they do with it. I'd at least like to see it in some better colors.

Hi Gregg:

Contact Inside Line Editor-in-Chief, Scott Oldham at:

I do not have a phone number for him.

Hard to say, from the few photo's I've seen, if I like it or not. I thought the 350Z was a good looking car, but that it wasn't retro enough for me. I mean, you look at a new Mustang, and say "now THATS a Mustang". But you look at a 350Z and say "nice looking car, what is it?" Honestly, I think the Audi TT looks better, but with similar lines.

Anyhoo, I'll wait to see the 370Z in person before I pass judgment.
