Posted November 3, 200816 yr comment_265257 Hello Z friends I was out for 180 mile round trip cruise in my Z last weekend and thought to myself "damn what a busy year and boy did the summer season fly by I bet all the guys @ classiczcarclub think I'm dead" so here I am again giving you all a shout to let you know me and my Z are still alive and well. Unfortunately that trip last weekend will probably be the last for the year. I took this photo last weekend when I got back from my cruise getting it all cleaned and prepped for winter storage :( Hope all you guys are doing well and had a great summer season with your Z's. Take care, Jared Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29852-no-im-not-dead-lol/ Share on other sites

November 3, 200816 yr comment_265344 Your car looks great Jared! I have lost out on quite a bit of nice weather. Right after I got back from the Cleveland Nationals, my radiator started leaking. I pulled it out and took it in, but the core is shot. I can't get a new radiator locally, so I'll have to wait for one to arrive from out west. November 15th is bedtime for my Z, so it looks like I'm done. What really stinks is that I couldn't even go fill it with gas or wash it. I'll have to make a few trips with gas cans to get it full of fuel. There is no point in putting the leaky rad in, so now I have open hoses, so I can't even start it to circulate the Sta-Bil. With the 70 degree weather here, it would have been really nice to drive it a bit more. Oh well. November 4, 200816 yr Author comment_265362 Thanks TomoHawk. Gotta take plenty of photos of my Z to hold me over during the winter months zhead240, I feel your frustration. Mother Nature can be cruel that way It got up to 74 degrees here today. Very odd for November. Jeff G 78, Sorry to hear about your bad luck man. I've had crap like that happen to me too. It's part of owning a classic car I guess. I had to repair coolant leaks on mine too last month. I went to take it out one afternoon and backed out of the garage and saw a nice size puddle on the garage floor and saw the trail down the driveway and thought "awww damn it don't do this to me now". Beautiful day out too and instead of cruising around in my Z I spent that nice afternoon running around searching for parts and wrenching under the hood but oh well crap happens sometimes. Zak's Z, Good to see your still here. Yeah, never a shortage of things to do. With winter approaching, I hope to get on here a little more. Hopefully Take care. Good to talk to you fellow Z'ers again, Jared Link to comment https://www.classiczcars.com/forums/topic/29852-no-im-not-dead-lol/#findComment-265362 Share on other sites
November 4, 200816 yr comment_265363 For a 'basic' sportscar like a Z, I like the more basic colours like what you have. There's no need for flames or scoops, wings, etc. Looks just fine as-is. just give it a decent paint job in a solid colour, gas it up and go somewhere. A "seatcover" for the other seat is nice too! Yeah, I agree. The Z is a sharp looking car stock. Those other things are nice for some people (personal preference) but not necessary IMO.
