Hey all,

New to posting on the site but love all the help and advice of the community. I am new to CA originally from Australia and picked up one of my dream cars a nice 1971 Series 1 240z.

I am looking to meet up with Z car owners in the south SF bay area? There must be a few of us out there as there are several good Z shops. Is there a group in the area that meets regularly?

I'm in San Mateo, about 20 miles north of you. My car is still undergoing restoration, but should be driving in the Spring.

I'd be happy to meet and talk Z's.

I was trying to figure out where you are located until I noticed the 'SF'.:stupid: In Southern California, South Bay is a region of the southwest peninsula of Los Angeles County. Mahanhattan Beach, Hermosa Beach, El Segundo, etc. There's also a South Bay in the San Diego Area. Cities like Chula Vista and National City.

Nice Z - what brings you to Mountain View? What is the background image in your picture? Plan to stay in the USA or are you going to convert that 240 to Right Hand Drive and take it back with you? Just curious....

At any rate you picked a great area to settle in for older Z's. Drive that Z up to Seattle on the PCH and you'll love it all the more.. Heck, take a few extra days and go on up into B.C..... Welcome aboard...

Im in the East Bay. There are a few Z owners in the area. The local club is "Z Owners of Northern California" or ZONC (zonc.org). Look'em up. Hit me up if you need some help with your ride.

Stephen sorry about the confusion yeah I am in the San Francisco South Bay Area just north west of San Jose.

Thanks Carl, Yeah I have moved permanently to the USA. I got my dream job here so I am not going to convert her to RHD. Took me a little to get used to shifting on the other side but soon came to me. Still have to think sometimes when reversing out of a park.

The back ground image is the inlet to worlds largest wind tunnel located at NASA here in silicon valley.

Thanks John. I just recently joined up with ZONC and am hoping to catch up with more Z fans but I guess with winter coming up everyone retires to work in the their garage. Would love a hand and advice on the Z. Also am more than willing to work on other Z to learn more and help other Z fans.

Welcome to sunny CA. I am also a member of ZONC. Hopefully we'll meet at some point in time. Maybe the Dec get-together. They are a great group of people that love the Z cars!. I'm in Santa Clara so we're neighbors !
